This week the “Responsible Innovation: The Southern European Way” International Conference takes place in Mitilene (Lesbo, Grecia).
Taking place on 10 September, this final conference is part of the project FaRInn – Facilitating Responsible Innovation in SEE Countries, which is co-funded by the South East Europe Programme for territorial cooperation.
The project unites 8 partners from 7 different countries, who collaborate in order to aid the development of a model of innovation that respects the principals of sustainability, social responsibility and improving quality of life in South East Europe.
Organised by the Region of North Aegean and the FaRInn project partners, the Final Conference not only represents not only an important moment to discuss the finding of FaRInn project, but also to debate how to take the concept of Responsible Innovation forward at local level, across the South East Europe area and beyond.
The Conference will also be visible on web-streaming via the FaRInn project website.
The conference guests speakers include amongst others, Vasileios Gongolidis, General Secretariat for Research and Technology, for the Greek Government, with the Key Note Speech on Responsible Innovation delivered by Dr. Norbert Buzás, Innovation Director, University of Szeged.
The pre-lunch round-table event is entitled Laying the framework for Responsible Innovation, and moderated by Yiannis Bakouros. In the afternoon conference guests are invited to Mesotopos Female Cooperative (Mesotopos, Lesvos) for a discussion on the topic of Cooperative Business, Female Entrepreneurship and Responsible Innovation, The Greek and European Experience.
