Angela Simone is an expert in public engagement and participatory methods. She has been collaborating with the Giannino Bassetti Foundation (FGB) since 2010, designing, writing and managing national and European projects on Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI).
Alongside her work with the external Advisory Board of the European project e-Sides (Ethical and Societal Implications of Data Sciences), Angela lectures on public science communication, public engagement and open science for various thematic workshops aimed at doctoral students, researchers, innovators and designers for various Italian universities and European projects.
Amongst her many publication is Healing yourself in the future. How stem cells and gene therapy are changing medicine, co-written with stem specialist Valentina Fossato, for Zanichelli Editore. She is also a reviewer of the scientific journal “J Comm” and is among the expert evaluators on science and society issues for the European Commission.
Angela holds a degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, a master’s degree in Science Communication and a Doctorate in Law and New Technologies-Bioethics. In 2010 she was a Visiting Fellow in the Science, Technology and Society Program of the J.F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She is a partner of the scientific communication agency Formicablu srl.
