This book presents some major contributions concerning contemporary global cities and their governance as they have been introduced by their authors at RISC workshops (Respatialisation, Institutions and Contemporary Society). RISC, a three-year project – stemmed out from the initiative of Università Cattolica in Milan (U.C. Milan), the Milan Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Craft Trade and Agriculture and Globus et Locus – bridges international and interdisciplinary academic theory on global cities’ transformations in the era of flows with the action of institutions.
