Concluding remarks (D. Navarra)

From the cooperative bibliographic experience hosted on this web site we have learned more from criticisms than probably the author and us intended at the beginning of this experiment. It is somehow with a bitter taste that I conclude by saying that the readers expected more also in terms of sharing a bibliographic resource available for free and maintained by the users. Beyond discussions and issues related to the original theme and what was missing, I am particularly grateful of the comments by Marlene Di Costanzo as they express very well the spirit of the initiative, i.e. being critical yet propositive at the same time. Many thanks also to all other that have participated with their suggestions and ideas.

In chiusura del Call for Comments: facciamo il punto (V. Bertolini)

Nell'avviare questo Call for Comments sulla Bibliografia curata da Leone Montagnini non si voleva aprire un dibattito sulle impostazioni culturali o sulle scelte bibliografiche dell'autore. L'intenzione era di sperimentare l'ipotesi di un lavoro collaborativo attraverso il quale realizzare uno strumento che, senza intaccare l'autonomia e l'integrità della ricerca di Montagnini, si affiancasse al suo elaborato.
In questa ottica, voglio segnalare i contributi di Marlene Di Costanzo, specialmente riguardo alla bibliografia su Nelson. Montagnini's bibliography 'Innovation and Responsibility in the context of the Information Society' is a well written and well presented document: creatively structured, punctual in addressing the right authors and the right issues as well as being easy to read. It contains 'the essential' of what anyone working in this area should know and it has the potential to become an important text of reference for researchers as well as practitioners.

As Bertolini says in his introduction, a bibliography is good at being also a 'work in progress' document, and the inter-disciplinary nature of the themes related to the Information Society makes it somehow necessary to be so. Thus, the 'wikipedia' model used for the dissemination of the knowledge contained in the bibliography make it a flexible tool of exchange and interaction for all those who will participate. The changing nature of academic research methods and knowledge creation is one of the key messages of the recent initiatives hosted by the Bassetti Foundation . This experience fully embraces such innovations and project them to the outside world by inviting an international audience to participate.

Following the spirit of the initiative, I enclose below a list of useful readings that can complement it. If you have Comments, suggestions and/or ideas please feel free to do so.
