Jonathan Hankins holds a degree in Sociology, a Masters in Applied Social Research and a PhD in Human Capital Formation and Labour Market Relations, and has been collaborating with the Foundation since 2006.
Amongst his responsibilities he is main author of the English language section of the Foundation website carrying out the roles of conference, journal and book reviewer. He is Editor of the Technology Bloggers platform, member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Responsible innovation, peer review coordinator for responsibility in innovation for the Glocalism Journal of Culture, Politics and Innovation, and represents the Foundation within the Virtual Institute of Responsible innovation (VIRI) of which they are a founding institutional member.
Jonathan has teaching, music and physical theatre training and has developed an improvisation-based form of ethics training for use at university and secondary school level. He is widely published within the musical, academic, and blogging fields, with books including Responsible Innovation, a Narrative Approach (2021) and the International Handbook on Responsible Innovation of which he is co-editor with Renè von Schomberg (2019).
As the Foundation’s Foreign Scientific Correspondent he is currently based in the Netherlands.
